All Volant intakes systems are molded with a high-grade X-Link polyethylene material to insulate the air box from conducting as much heat as would metal. These kits are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air. Volant air intake systems increase performance up to 18 horsepower and 40 pounds of torque!

Includes Hi-Flow Velocity Air Box! Volant’s Cool-Air kits, with their Hi-Flow Velocity Air Boxes are designed to pull cold air from outside the engine compartment to shield the new high performance reusable cotton gauze filter from the engines heat. Leaving an exposed filter in the engine compartment draws the heat from the engine, meaning the hotter it gets the less oxygen there is, it makes your engine work that much harder to breath. Usually, much larger than stock, the boxes are designed to deliver a dramatically increased volume of air.

    Great intake! Better than lids in my opinion. If you decide to purchase this intake DO NOT buy a smooth bellows to go with it. I tried for hours to fit them together and it is not happening! The stock worked perfectly. Now not only does it look bad a$$, my WS6 breathes better now!

    Great intake! You can really feel the power increase. Install’s a cake walk and it comes with a plug for the air sump if you’ve already pulled it. I would recommend this product to any WS6 owner.

    Note all WS6 peeps: Sell your stock intake on eBay. I sold my stocker and made $140 after shipping. It really helps defray the cost of the intake and the difference is truely worth it.

    Awesome CAI! I’d much rather have this than a lid, and going from the stock air intake w/ K&N I really felt a difference on the SOP (seat of the pants) meter. Shipping was incredibly fast. Installation required a bit of fab work (drilled a couple new installation holes for the mounts to make it easier, etc) but wasn’t anything major and overall was fairly problem-free. If you have any know-how at all install wont be a problem for you, but it could be smoother from Volant. Overall all, very much worth it all – turns lots of heads when the hood is popped too! Usually the “whoa!” or “wow!” response.

    Fell a difference over stock and look better than just a lid. But if you was a better boost and have a ram air hood and no fear. Cut the back out of the hood till you can see the filters right through the nostril holes. Made a huge difference on the highway when I have to pass a mustang thats in the way. faster you go the more air is rammed it. the factory hood setup is too restrictive for theis intake.

    Oh I read one of the other reviews and I actually have the smooth bellow from SLP on my TA it’s a littlr work and you need new clamps from a home depot or lowes but it isn’t all that bad.

    Shipping was fast, less than a week. Install went very nice, everything fit nicely. i do not have a ram air hood but i modified mine by cutting vents into the front and back(where the hole would be on a ram air hood) to allow air to pass straight through to the air filter before i bought this, so that little trick helped me out alot with this. immediately after i installed it i had to drive it so i took it out on the interstate and got it good and hot, and right after parking it i popped the hood, the filters and inside of the box were still cold even though the rest of the engine compartment was warm. Throttle reponse really improved too. I would recommend this to anyone, the price, quality, look, and function of this product far exceed that of other kits.

    Got the kit within a week…install was easy but i recommend puttin everything together starting from the throttle body first n dont bolt everything down tight till everything is perfect but overall very nice intake love the look and cant wait to test out on good day
