I used this y-pipe in conjunction with pacesetter long-tubes and the stock catback. The fitment is pretty much dead on, I didn’t have to tweak it at all to get it to fit. However, the merge is awful. basically, one of the pipes has had a hole cut in it, and the other pipe has been welded over the hole. Problem is, the hole is much smaller than the incoming pipe’s diameter. Just looking at it, you can tell it will be a restriction and will most likely cause rasp. I went ahead and installed it, but am planning to pull it back off, and cut it at the merge so I can get a torch or tool in there to remove all the extra material impeding the flow. Then I will have to weld it back together. ::it is going to be a pain if you ask me:: Anyway, the y-pipe tucks up nicely, but like most long-tube/y-pipe combinations under hard acceleration, the y-pipe banged against the floorboard. I readjusted it a few times and used a piece of heater hose (held on with a hose clamp) between the y-pipe and the floorboard to stop it from banging. So overall, I like it, but I wish the merge was better.

Used this with Pacesetter’s longtubes and they fit perfectly together. Excellent ground clearance and it did not hit the floorboard under hard acceleration. Very nice product.

ok, heres what i have to say about this y…it looks good fit great and did not hit the floor boards, i also got band clamps and tossed the silly cheezy ones they give you. the merge is sooo bad so so so bad. after the first ten min of gettin it, it drove me so nuts that the merge was so bad i fixed it. it was simple i took a die grinder, cut the welds and reviled the problem, the hole cut measured to 2 1/8th??? so i grinded the rest off (too the weld) and stiched her back up. the rasp is almost gone now and the hole is 3in 🙂
